AAJ to bring new ideas to NASA during International Space App Challenge

The AAJ team will join other innovators from around the world for NASA’s International Space Apps Challenge, one of the largest hackathons in the universe. The international hackathon will be empowered by open data, where attendees will collaborate with one another to solve perplexing worldly challenges in new and unexpected ways.

Taking place from April 22-24, engineers, coders, makers, artists and storytellers will come together from various locations to connect over mission-related challenges. The growing Space Apps community represents the core of NASA’s Open Innovation Initiative. Since its inception, the community has developed thousands of open-source solutions.

During the 48-hour hackathon, AAJ’s Innovation Team in Argentina will be participating in the advancement of virtual reality — a cutting-edge technology that continues to break new ground. Virtual reality is a computer technology that replicates an environment, real or imagined, and simulates a user’s physical presence and environment in a way that allows the user to interact with it.
