Last month, AAJ Technologies (AAJ) sent Nizar Lavji, Vice President of its Portals and Collaboration Practice, to the 2016 Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC) held in Toronto, Canada. WPC is Microsoft’s annual conference for the partner community. During the event, partners learn about Microsoft’s roadmap for the upcoming fiscal year, network and build connections, share best practices, experience the latest product innovations, and learn new skills and techniques. There are also keynote addresses from Microsoft executives, featured speakers, business-track specific offerings, and hundreds of sessions.
As a Microsoft Gold Partner for the last 15 years, AAJ has made it a tradition to attend the annual conference to learn about upcoming releases. It’s always an exciting experience, and this year was no exception. Here are just a few announcements that we’re made:
- Microsoft Dynamics 365. Available this fall, Microsoft Dynamics 365 will unify the current Microsoft CRM and ERP cloud solutions into one cloud service with new purpose-built apps to help manage specific business functions, including Financials, Field Service, Sales, Operations, Marketing, Project Service Automation and Customer Service.
- Microsoft AppSource. Microsoft AppSource will be Microsoft’s new destination for business users to find and try out line-of-business SaaS apps from Microsoft and Microsoft partners. At launch, AppSource includes more than 200 line-of-business SaaS apps, add-ins and content packs.
- Windows 10 Enterprise Subscription. To inspire more personal computing, it was announced that starting later this year, Windows 10 Enterprise E3 for CSP will enable businesses to get enterprise-grade security and management at just US$7 a seat per month for the first time through the Cloud Solution Provider channel.
- Azure SQL Data Warehouse. To continue to build a more intelligent cloud, Microsoft announced the general availability of Azure SQL Data Warehouse, which delivers true cloud scalability to data warehousing, saving time and money compared to competitive solutions.
