Among the numerous responsibilities that healthcare providers face, enabling system interoperability should be a priority. Interoperability allows healthcare providers to exchange health information more effectively, which means it is then more readily available to doctors, nurses and other medical personnel for decision making. Easier data access also allows patients to be more actively involved in their healthcare. For some providers, however, effectively implementing true interoperability is a challenge. Obstacles include lack of cooperation among electronic health records (EHR) vendors and state laws that block access to patient data. To assist in resolving these issues, AAJ is hosting a webinar titled “Driving Business Growth via Interoperability” on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2015, from 1:30 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. The webinar will address relying on system interoperability as a key driver for business growth, particularly in healthcare.
Delivering the talk will be Toni Skokovic, vice president of information strategy at iNTERFACEWARE, a company that develops software to assist in connecting systems and workflow automation for healthcare providers. Skokovic has 15 years of experience in healthcare IT software products management and will provide great insight on the topic of interoperability. The specifics of the webinar will include: building an integration strategy for long-term growth, strategies for leveraging interoperability for organizational and personal growth, and tools and techniques for sustained business success.
